Barnacle
When four of Liverpool’s most skilled chefs, led by The Art School’s Paul Askew, decide to launch a restaurant, you know it’ll be something exceptional. Barnacle, located on the mezzanine of Duke Street Market, was founded in November by Harry Marquart of Paul, Bone and Block and chefs Kieran Gill and Jake Lewis, with an emphasis on modern cooking and locally-sourced organic meals inspired by our city’s marine past.
Lerpwl in Liverpool
Lerpwl in the Albert Dock is another fantastic restaurant that focuses on local ingredients and ethically sourced seafood, such as Menai oysters and Anglesey crab. Ellis, who was the North West winner on BBC’s Great British Menu, offers lots of flare and celebrity chef magic to Lerpwl’s seasonally-changing menus.
Panoramic 34
Panoramic 34 is one of the UK’s tallest restaurants, located 300 feet above sea level on the 34th floor of the West Tower. This renowned fine dining establishment provides breathtaking 360-degree views of the historic River Mersey and beyond. And, as if it wasn’t enough, the cuisine is also rather good. The daily menu changes depending on what ingredients are in season, and the European-inspired meals taste just as delicious as they look.

Carlisi
If a holiday to Sicily isn’t in the cards for 2022, don’t worry because Carlisi on Dale Street is offering up real Sicilian fare from breakfast to late-night spritzes. For lunch, there’s panini and focaccia, street food, a bruschetta bar, charcuteria that you can share. There are some incredible sweet-filled cannoli that you’ll definitely want to keep all to yourself.
